It’s important to note that the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Guidelines for Tactical Field Care recommend using a rigid eye shield, like our Eye Shield, to cover the eye in the event of a penetrating eye injury. Pressure patches are not recommended. If a penetrating eye injury is suspected, a rapid field test of visual acuity should be performed before covering the eye with the Eye Shield.
